Lemmy Vs Kronenbourg – A Comment
Let me begin by saying that I really like this advert. It’s a solid concept and the 30s, 90s and (seemingly obligatory) viral documentary are all beautifully shot. The trusting, laid back side of me wants to leave it there; enjoying it and listening to the track on Spotify. It wants to believe that Lemmy took on the role as an opportunity to produce something creatively tangential and artistically diverse. However the other, more cynical, side of me postulates that Lemmy took the job with the motive of promoting his upcoming film. So I’m gonna go somewhere down the middle. This was a coincidence raised by an unwitting Kronenbourg and jumped on by a dual-motivated Lemmy. Settled.

I like the advert, but neither Lemmy nor the song suits Kronenbourg. That beer just doesn’t say “rock n roll” to me. It needs a hard liquor or line of coke.
P.S. What’s his upcoming film?
It’s a documentary of his life and career, simply titled Lemmy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1236472/ And it’s on at the Watershed from the 17th to the 23rd December.
