Wilhelm Scream
Definitely one for the movie buffs! So a bit of history – The Wilhelm Scream is a stock sound effect that was first used in 1951 for the film Distant Drums. The original sound recording was later discovered by sound designer, Ben Burtt who began to incorperate the clip into many of his films including all of the Indiana Jones films and many of the Star Wars movies. Soon other sound designers jumped on board and it is now claimed to have been used in over 200 films!
